The Difference Between Purpose and Meaning In Life

Purpose and meaning in life has often been used interchangeably. But they mean totally different things. I will use the metaphor of cars to explain.

There are many cars on the roads. Different brands and models. Varing engine capacities and types. Yet, cars have one function. It is a mode of transportation. It gets you from where you are to where you want to be.

However, cars mean different things to different people. For some it is a status symbol. For others, it enables them to earn a living.
